On the road
My friend Tad and his Janett invited us to the annual Lopez Memorial day camping trip to Morrow bay. We have not been to a Lopez family Memorial camping trip for the past few years, so we were very excited to visit!
We decided that the best thing to do is drive and then get in to Morrow bay on Saturday, so we don’t have to set up the tent at night.
We took off around 7:30 (30 minute behind schedule, which is pretty good) and stopped at King City around 10:30 pm. and started to look for a place to bed down for the night. After looking at some sketchy motels (motels that look like they charge by the hour), we decided to go with the Courtesy Inn right off 101.
Peter checked in and said something about the clerk made a mistake on the bill and were going to charge us $71,000 for the night. It was a pretty funny story and he’s better at telling the story than I am so send him an email if you want to know more.
The hotel is not the best I have stayed in but it’s bigger than the Hong Kong hotel room!
Over all, it was pretty uneventful, not gun shuts of loud noises from our next door neighbors.
